Hand washing in 6 steps

Washing clothing by hand isn't complicated at all. To make sure nothing goes wrong, we've put together a simple guide for you.

Step 1: Find the right container

Find two suitable containers for your laundry. Depending on the amount of clothing, a bowl or bucket is enough. If you need to wash several or larger items, the bathtub is a good choice.

You need the second container for AFTER washing to rinse the clothing.

Step 2: Choose the right detergent

The bluu Laundry Detergent Sheets They work wonderfully for hand washing. They are also incredibly space-saving and easy to stow in your luggage. Depending on your laundry load size and level of soiling, only a small corner of the Laundry Detergent Sheet is enough. The more laundry you have, or the dirtier it is, the more you tear off from the Laundry Detergent Sheet.

Are you traveling and only have cold water available?                            No problem! Our bluu Laundry Detergent Sheets are not only gentle on fabrics, they are also especially well suited for lower temperatures.

Step 3: Add the water

Fill warm water into your clean first container. A temperature of about 30 degrees is optimal. You need enough water so that the clothing is completely submerged, but it can't overflow the edge.

You can now add the bluu Laundry Detergent Sheetsand dissolve it by stirring.

Fill the second container with clean water for later.

Step 4: Wash the laundry

Now place the item of clothing to be washed into the water and move it back and forth in circular motions – either until the dirt has lifted or a maximum of five minutes long. You can also gently knead or rub the dirty areas together. Please be extra careful with delicate fabrics!

Step 5: Rinse the laundry

Now take the clothing out of the first container and put it into the second one with clean water. Lightly moving it back and forth is enough here too. Repeat this until the water stays clear.

Step 6: Dry the clothing

You can gently squeeze the clothing to remove excess water. Please never wring it out (this damages the fibers and distorts the clothing's shape). Afterwards, hang it up or lay it on a drying rack to dry.
