You’ll find out right away why colorful (and sustainable) socks are more fun, what you need to keep in mind for sock care, and practical Tips to help you stop losing socks altogether.
Colorful, more colorful, DillySocks
Do you know DillySocks yet? This Swiss company was founded in 2013 by three friends, with the goal of banishing boring, plain socks and replacing them with colorful, fun, and sustainable socks. The result is a vibrant world of socks full of cheerful designs that are guaranteed to put you in a great mood right when you put them on in the morning.

Why we think DillySocks are really cool
1. Made from Organic cotton
The socks are made from 80% combed organic cotton, 18% polyamide, and 2% elastane. However, the exact composition of the socks varies depending on the design.
2. Eco-friendly and skin-friendly materials
The DillySocks are certified with the «Oeko-Tex® 100 Standard» label. This means the material and/or the final product was made without dangerous and toxic substances, guaranteeing 100% skin compatibility.
In addition, some of the socks (depending on their composition) are GOTS-certified, meeting globally recognized standards for ecological textiles.
3. Sustainable production
The hooks the DillySocks are attached to are made from wood-based biocomposite and are biodegradable. The labels and paper tags are recyclable, and the carrier bags are compostable.
4. Matching parent-child styles
The socks are available not just for adults, but also for children. Every kids' design also has an adult version.
5. Upcycling
Leftover sock fabric isn't thrown away, but is repurposed. This creates sock monkeys, which can also be purchased in the online shop for young and old alike.

6. Sock subscription
Like bluu, DillySocks also has a Subscription. With a subscription, you can not only treat yourself, but also give gifts to your loved ones. You can choose the socks in advance, and have them automatically delivered to your home at a reduced price. Never run out of socks again.
Washing socks: What you need to pay attention to
- Laundry at 40 degrees: Your socks will shrink if exposed to too much heat. 40 degrees is more than enough. If they are very dirty, you can turn to one of our Stains Tips options.
- Delicate wash cycle for especially fine hosiery: Especially if they have a high elastane content or are performance socks, you can wash them on a delicate cycle.
- Avoid bleach: The bluu Laundry Detergent Sheets are free of them and perfect for your socks.
- No fabric softener: Socks don't like fabric softener either.
- No dryer: In fact, socks last longer if you don't put them in the dryer. Hanging them all up is a bit more work, but they will thank you with longer lifespan.
- Our bluu Laundry Detergent Sheets By the way, they are very well suited for Laundry of socks.

How to never lose socks again
Do you also constantly lose your socks? There's definitely a parallel universe somewhere filled with lost, single socks…
Here are a few Tips to help you keep track of your socks going forward.
Sock clips
There are special clips you can use to fasten socks together. You can clip them right after wearing and wash them at the same time.
Wash bag / cloth bag
A slightly more eco-friendly option is a wash bag where you always put ALL your socks. That way you don't have to search through the depths of your washing machine, just look in the bag. Pro tip: Use a separate bag for each person in the household, this gives you even better oversight.

Hair ties
A cheaper option, if you have some at home, is hair ties: Bundle pairs of socks, toss them in the laundry, and no sock will get lost.
However, if you only have bright, colorful socks like those from DillySocks, sorting after washing is super easy. You don't really need clothespins or anything like that, because the pile is so simple to sort. And it's way more fun than with 50 slightly different black socks.
