It's the crowd that counts!

It's all about the quantity! - bluu - The laundry sensation

The Swiss physician and philosopher Paracelsus already knew in the 16th century that high-dose influences harm the body. This can be applied to many life situations, such as Laundry. For conventional liquid or powder laundry detergents, you pour about 50 - 75 ml per wash cycle into the drum. That adds up to around 8 liters of detergent per person per year, or if you like big numbers: about 70 million liters of detergent in Switzerland that end up in wastewater.

That's a whole lot, and above all a whole lot too much, because conventional detergents are massively overdosed in general. Who doesn't know it: "How much was that again? I'd better add a little more to make sure the laundry is really clean and smells good". In most cases that wouldn't be necessary. With too much detergent, it's possible that the laundry can't be completely rinsed out, which can lead to allergies or skin irritation, especially for people with sensitive skin.

What should I pay attention to now? Besides easy biodegradability, which is the top priority, the amount is the second big lever. This is where ultra-concentrated detergents come into play, which are many times lighter than conventional detergents. In addition to the amount in wastewater, this also brings a massively better CO2 footprint during transport.

Our bluu Laundry Detergent Sheets are ultra-concentrated, weigh only 3g and are thus about 20 times lighter than conventional liquid detergent. Less detergent in the washing machine also means less detergent in wastewater. In addition, the Laundry Detergent Sheets are already pre-dosed - accidental overdosing is no longer possible.

Pretty amazing, right?
