How it all began
A small idea that changes big things.
Roman Stämpfli and Marko Vidmar recognize the potential of Laundry Detergent Sheets. A clever idea that can be made more sustainable and practical for everyday use.
The idea of bluu emerged from this conviction.
From an idea comes a product.
Only five months after the first idea, the first bluu prototype is here. A small milestone that shows: The idea works. Long before the first product is sold, the partnership with Viva con Agua also begins. Since day one, bluu has donated 1% to water projects around the world.
The founding of bluu.
An idea turns into bluu. Shortly after its founding, the first Laundry Detergent Sheets leave our warehouse. As the first brand for Laundry Detergent Sheets in Switzerland, a new way of washing begins.
What starts small grows big.
More and more people are discovering bluu. Media outlets such as Blick, 20 Minuten, and the Tages-Anzeiger are reporting about us. At the same time, our team is growing, and bluu has found its place in over 100 drugstores and specialty shops.
bluu is now available at Coop.
An important milestone for bluu: Coop is adding our Laundry Detergent Sheets Alpine Freshness to its assortment in 950 stores across Switzerland. This marks the first time bluu products are available on the shelves of Switzerland’s largest retailer.
bluu continues to grow.
bluu is now also available in Germany and Austria. A Swiss idea is becoming a brand for more and more households in the German-speaking region.
Simply more bluu.
With stain remover soap, dryer balls, and floor cleaner, bluu's product range is expanding beyond laundry care. At the same time, bluu has secured its first major retail partners in Germany.
Excellent. Shipping to Japan.
bluu has been recognized as "Outstanding" at the SIQT Brands of the Year for price and performance. Soon after comes the next step: With the launch in Japan, bluu Laundry Detergent Sheets are now available outside Europe for the first time.
