What are the bluu wash strips made of?

The blu laundry strips are made from non-ionic and anionic surfactants, water and fragrance ingredients, which leave your laundry with a long-lasting, pleasant scent. You can find detailed information about the ingredients here Data sheet

Do the bluu laundry strips also work in cold water?

Yes, the bluu laundry strips are suitable for all temperatures, including cold water. To ensure cleaning performance, we recommend using water that is at least 15 °C warm.

Is there also an unscented variant of the bluu laundry strips?

Yes, our allergy-friendly washing strips in the "Nonscents" variant, which is completely free of perfume and fragrances and specially designed for sensitive skin, allergy sufferers, and baby laundry. The cleaning performance remains unchanged.

Can I also take bluu laundry strips on trips?

In fact, the laundry strips are perfect for washing cleanly even while traveling, thanks to their small size and low weight. The Travel Pack is also available in a convenient travel size. Additionally, they are suitable for hand washing.

What is the difference between "Alpenfrische", "Applecadabra", "delicate laundry detergent", and "Nonscents"?

The "Alpenfrische" and "Applecadabra" variants offer a long-lasting scent in your laundry thanks to their fragrances, in addition to the "Nonscents" variant. The "delicate detergent" is explicitly suitable for wool, silk, and fine fabrics. The wash performance is identical across all wash strips.

Do these small washing strips work at all?

Yes! Despite its extremely low weight of just 3 grams, we can absolutely assure you that we have tested the washing performance thoroughly and countless times so that we can fully stand behind our product. For stubborn stains, we recommend using an additional stain remover (such as a laundry bar soap) before washing.

I have a large washing machine (8 kg), what do I need to consider?

If you have a large washing machine with an 8 kg wash drum, you should simply use twice the amount of laundry strips specified on the packaging, unlike standard 4-5 kg washing machines.

Can I also use bluu laundry strips for hand washing?

Yes, laundry strips work great for hand laundry. Important: wash your hands thoroughly afterward! For sensitive skin, we especially recommend our "Nonscents" laundry strips, which are free of fragrances and perfumes.

What does the Dermatest seal mean?

The Dermatest seal confirms that our wash strips do not cause irritations for sensitive skin. The strips were dermatologically tested and awarded "very good" by medical professionals.

What temperatures are bluu laundry strips suitable for?

The blue wash strips are suitable for all temperatures from 15 - 95 °C.

Do the bluu laundry strips dissolve in water?

Yes, our laundry strips dissolve completely in water and are biodegradable.

Which textiles can I wash with the bluu washing strips?

Our laundry strips are suitable for all textiles, whether white, colored, or black laundry. Additionally, they can also be used for wool, silk, and cashmere. Yes, the bluu laundry strips can be used for all textiles. The laundry strips labeled "delicate detergent" are explicitly suitable for wool, cashmere, down, silk, and delicate clothing. They provide gentle washing without unnecessary strain on the fibers.

Can the bluu laundry strips also be used for technical and breathable textiles?

Yes, the laundry strips are suitable for all textiles. Also, follow the care instructions on the garments. Since the laundry strips do not contain any cationic surfactants or solvents, the breathability of the textiles is not impaired.

My laundry detergent strips aren't dissolving completely. What should I do?

Please note the optimal loading level for the washing drum. The rule of thumb for a standard wash cycle is: A raised, splayed hand should definitely still fit into the drum above the laundry. For delicate or wool laundry, the washing drum should be filled to a maximum of half its capacity. We also recommend placing detergent strips at the back of the drum so that water reaches the strip directly and dissolves it as quickly as possible. This also prevents the strip from sticking to the washing machine door.

Are blue laundry strips more expensive than conventional detergent?

The bluu laundry strips cost roughly CHF 0.33 per wash cycle, which matches the price of an average laundry detergent. As with any product, there are cheaper and more expensive alternatives. For example, if you order 6 boxes at once, you'll pay just CHF 0.26 per wash cycle.

Are the bluu laundry strips also suitable for people with allergies?

bluu is made from non-ionic and anionic surfactants, and long-lasting fragrances are used in the "Alpine Fresh" variant. Although the laundry strips are very mild and made without bleach, preservatives, or parabens, we do not classify them as hypoallergenic. Additionally, the laundry strips were tested for skin compatibility by Dermatest and rated "very good". They are therefore suitable for all skin types.

Do I still need fabric softener?

bluu itself contains no plasticizers. If you do not want to go without fabric softener, you can still use it as usual. Incidentally, a simple alternative to fabric softener is regular white household vinegar (not vinegar essences). You can add approximately 30–60 ml of vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser. The vinegar softens the water, disinfects, and removes limescale deposits and any detergent residue from the fibers of your clothing.

Are the bluu laundry strips vegan?

Since our wash strips are neither made from animal ingredients nor tested on animals, they are 100% vegan.
