Usage Instructions

Our calcbusters are safe for the environment when used correctly. Once the acid reacts with limescale and is neutralized, the resulting residues are readily biodegradable.

What are the advantages of Calcbusters compared to other descalers?

Thanks to the inorganic acid, Calcbusters are up to 6x stronger and up to 10x more effective in terms of descaling time than other descalers. The cellulose coating prevents contact between the descaler and skin.

How does limescale form, and why is it necessary to descale the washing machine?

Limescale forms when the calcium and magnesium ions present in water deposit when heated. The harder the water, the more of these minerals it contains, and the faster limescale deposits will form in your washing machine.

Regular descaling is important, as limescale can impair your washing machine’s performance, increase energy consumption, and shorten the appliance’s lifespan. Proper detergent dosing also plays a role: using too much or too little detergent can further encourage the formation of limescale deposits.

What distinguishes Calcbusters from descaler tablets?

Descaler tablets do not remove limescale; instead, they primarily target unpleasant odors. The bleach included in these tablets is designed to kill bacteria. However, since bacteria reside in limescale deposits, they can only be effectively eliminated if the limescale is also removed. Moreover, most competitor descaler tablets typically must be handled barehanded. Our Calcbusters eliminate limescale deposits, thus also killing bacteria and eliminating unpleasant odors.

Do all the pads come apart during use?
