01How do dryer balls work?
- Dryer balls separate the laundry and allow the air in the dryer to circulate optimally between the items of laundry. This reduces the drying time by up to 25% and thus helps to save energy. The fact that the laundry does not lie as one large lump in the dryer in conjunction with the dryer balls means that fibers and down have the opportunity to straighten up and relax.
02Why do I have to use 4 dryer balls?
- The addition of 4 dryer balls ensures sufficient friction. This means that the laundry dries faster as the heat is better distributed. This also creates more movement in the dryer, allowing the fibers of the laundry to unfold better and making the laundry softer and crease-free.
03Do dryer balls stain?
- Dryer balls from bluu should not stain. However, we advise against using tennis balls instead of dryer balls. These could indeed stain. We therefore recommend using bluu balls to be on the safe side.
04How long do dryer balls last?
- Our dryer balls last for approx. 1000 drying cycles.
05Are there any tests on the effectiveness of dryer balls?
- Yes, dryer balls have been tested by a laboratory for their effectiveness. The test showed a reduction in drying time of up to 25%. In addition, laundry dried with dryer balls was softer and had fewer creases. Link to the study
