- Yes, it actually works! Silver ions released into the water have the ability to kill bacteria. These bacteria are often responsible for unpleasant odors. As the silvertrooper eliminates the bacteria, the decomposition products that cause the sweat odor are also reduced. The result is that unpleasant odors are avoided as there are no bacteria present to cause the odor.
